About Me

Lyn

My interest in family history was sparked years ago on discovering that my father’s middle name was “Goodsir”. Unfortunately, my Dad only knew that it was a family name and that it was an embarrassment to him. After all, what macho guy would want to be stuck with a sissy name like that?

I began family history research in earnest after retiring from work as a programmer analyst in 1998. I rapidly became intrigued - not only with the findings but also with the “thrill of the chase”.

My other interests include my immediate family, simple living, gardening, reading, walking, movies and food (cooking and eating).
